Perhaps it wasn't the best idea for Lady Gaga to perform in a gun bra.
Media outlets are now reporting on the "Gaga gun bra" incident in which pop star Lady Gaga waltzed on stage in army-green pants and gun bra: There were actual plastic machine guns coming out of the cups of Gaga's bra.
The gun bra took place during a Vancouver, British Columbia, show and while the gun bra isn't new — Lady Gaga wore it for a 2010 Rolling Stone cover — the costume selection isn't sitting well with the public.

To be honest, Lady Gaga's "shocking" costumes have worn off their, well, shock value for a few years now — maybe it was the lobster costume that did it for us — but the public in North America still might not be ready for a gun bra prop: Semi-automatic weapons were recently used in at least two widely known public massacres in the past six months
Is Lady Gaga a secret bully?>>
Lady Gaga has yet to comment on the gun bra costume selection. We think the gun bra prop was likely unintentionally offensive and, given the host of other crazy, weird costumes Lady Gaga wore during her concert, it might just be that she didn't catch how the gun bra could irk members of her audience and the public.
Anything related to guns right now, especially machine gun props, are sure to remind us about the tragic Newtown, Connecticut, shooting in which 27 people died, 20 of whom where children.
While we think Lady Gaga should be more aware of her costume implications, we doubt she was trying to make a statement for or against gun control with her "Gaga gun bra."
