Little Big Town plans to spend most of 2013 touring, the country band tells SheKnows in an exclusive interview at the American Country Awards. But the group won't get homesick, because they bring their families with them.

Touring musicians often bemoan the lonely life of the road, with anonymous hotel rooms, faceless fans and everyone who knows and loves you too far away to hug. But country band Little Big Town has found a way around the loneliness, they explain to SheKnows in an exclusive red carpet interview at the American Country Awards: They just take the family with them.

"We travel with our families most of the time," Little Big Town's Kimberly Schlapman told SheKnows. "We try not to leave them at home too much."

Schlapman has a 5-year-old daughter, Daisy, with husband Stephen Schlapman; bandmates Karen Fairchild and Jimi Westbrook have a 2-year-old son, Elijah. The final member of Little Big Town, Phillip Sweet, has a 5-year-old daughter, Penelopi, with Rebecca Arthur.

Fairchild told the Huffington Post last year that she loves having her son on the road. "I like crawling in my bunk at night, and usually he ends up crawling in there with me at some point during the night. That's my favorite time."

Fairchild also said it was difficult to balance her responsibilities, but that she "wouldn't have it any other way. It's no different than just being a mom at home with a full-time job and balancing all those same responsibilities."

All those little kids are set to have a raucous 2013, because Little Big Town's touring plans are ambitious, to say the least.

"We'll start off the first part of 2013 with our own headlining tour, the Tornado Tour," Sweet told SheKnows, adding that Kacey Musgraves would open for the group on some dates, and David Nail on others.

"Then midway through the year we're gonna join Keith Urban and Dustin Lynch out on the road," said Sweet.

"And just go all the way until the beginning of 2014 with Keith," finished Fairchild.

That's ambitious, all right! Do they ever stop?

"If Keith Urban asked you to tour, would you stop?" asked Fairchild.
