Party Down South's finale has me in a hot mess of emotion

The time has come, y'all. After five fun-filled seasons, we say goodbye to Party Down South — all the funnels, the marlins, the duck calls and the drama — with tonight's series finale.

The episode picked up where we left off last week, with our newly reformed Mattie on the verge of going full Martha up in the bar. They manage to get her sassy ass in the cab, but it's clear from her incoherent ramblings the night is going nowhere good fast.

More: Party Down South insider spills on the first explosive brawl of the season

Complicating matters, of course, is the fact that Bubba inexplicably picks this volatile cab ride to pick a fight with Tiffany about the status of their relationship. Dude! I hope your timing is better in bed.

Back at home, with Hurricane Martha brewing, most of the housemates decide to turn in for the night — also known as totally chickening out. Lauren, being the fearless warrior she is, decides to try to fill Tiff's shoes (Tiff, who is still trying to reassure Bubba) as the Martha Whisperer.

She manages to get Mattie inside, but that doesn't improve matters much. Until, that is, Mattie confirms she truly is my spirit animal by getting distracted AF by some pizza. Just as quickly as the storm rolled in, it has passed. Thank God for pepperoni.

But, wait, would this trick have worked all these years?

"If all it took was pizza, trust me, we would have had pizza delivery on speed dial a long time ago," SallyAnn Salsano, 495 Productions president and founder, and creator and executive producer of Party Down South, jokingly told SheKnows in an exclusive interview. "Seriously, though, it just goes to show how much she has grown personally, and hopefully seeing this inspires her to keep growing and showing others that it may not be easy, but it sure as hell is possible."

Pausing, Salsano reconsidered, "Or maybe she was really hungry... I mean, personally, pizza calms me down." Amen to that.

Meanwhile, in bed, Tiff is still coddling Bubba. The night ends with cuddles and tears — not the combo anyone was likely hoping for — and the next morning Bubba writes a note on Tiff's mirror and slips out.

Not before kissing her head and telling her he can't wait to marry her, though. Whoa, whoa, whoa, bruh. Like, eight hours ago you were accusing her of harboring feelings for her ex. Pump the brakes.

More: Party Down South insider weighs in on Tiffany Heinen's major boyfriend drama

Tiff is left with a lot of uncertainty about her relationship, understandably. "I know there's more to the world than Eunice, Louisiana, and I f***in' intend to see it," she says, "and I don't want to see it with a baby on my hip." You spread your wings, girl.

Happily, there is at least one relationship in the house on much more solid footing: Walt and Daddy's. In a sweet moment, the guys open up about how much they love and respect each other. D'aw!

Over a meal the next day, the gang decides they had better get it goin' for one final night out (*tears*), and everyone is hoping this will be the night Lyle finally hauls in a marlin to replace Santana.

Things start off promisingly enough, as a cute brunette seems to be eating up his every word. He politely passes on her, however, explaining she wasn't an "upgrade."

To be honest, he may have dodged a patchouli-laced bullet. Mere moments after Lyle cuts out, the brunette is giving Murray a lap dance. After that, she is rubbing some mysterious "natural" balm all over Daddy's back.

She wasn't easy to shake, either. "OMG! The boys had a hard time getting away from her. She was rather persistent. It wasn't just our guys — it was everyone in the bar. The bar owner eventually couldn't handle her either and had her escorted out. Just another night down South!" said Salsano.

When they get back to the house and Santana calls, everyone is afraid Lyle is going to be manipulated once more by her, uh, womanly charms, especially when she tells him she's still wearing her ring.

Lyle's a Boudreaux, though, baby! He secured his Season 5 MVP status with what will go down in PDS history as the best breakup ev-er, saying, "Santana, we're nothing. We're never gonna be anything."

PDS
Image: CMT

He followed that up with a whole bunch of other good stuff and some metaphor about Gilligan and being marooned, but — real talk — I was too busy doing my happy dance to catch it verbatim.

And I wasn't the only one. Salsano revealed that Lyle's speech earned quite the positive reception on-set. When asked if anyone expected his diatribe, Salsano said, "Expecting? No. Hoping? For sure! He got a standing ovation from 20 people in the control room that night. One of my favorite Lyle moments ever."

More: Lyle Boudreaux's romance woes on Party Down South are far from over

To honor all of the memories the gang has shared over the years, Walt decides to create a time capsule with his bare hands. He's so manly and resourceful, that one.

While he's putting the finishing touches on the box, Lyle thanks him for being such a solid friend these last two years. The outlook for these two was bleak in the beginning, remember? Now they really love each other. Again with the feels.

For their last night in the house, they decide to have a huge cookout. The girls decorate aprons for everyone, and it makes me weirdly emotional. Where's a hug from Sugarbear when a girl needs it?

During dinner, everyone says what they are thankful for and, via cut-in clips, talks about how much the show has changed their lives. Or, in Daddy's case, saved it. "I was trying to die young, you know what I'm saying?"

After they fill their guts with good food, the gang starts filling up the time capsule. Daddy throws in Beerzooka, 'cause Daddy. Lyle tosses in his grilling fork. Mattie puts in her signature dancing shoes. Walt retires his classic white T-shirt. And so on and so forth until the major heart-tugger: Murray's America shirt.

"If we are done, by God, it's retired," he insists. The next morning, they all say their official goodbyes and go their separate ways.

Aaaaand I'm crying. Don't judge me, dudes.

Now that our exclusives are coming to an end, I feel confident in saying Salsano is pretty bummed to bid adieu to this motley crew, too. So where does she think the housemates will be in 10 years?

"I'm not sure I know where I'll be in 10 years," she shared, laughing. "If I had to guess, I'd say Walt will be back at a mill or plant, right where he left off. I can see Daddy running his own marina. Mattie will probably be running a chain of gyms. I can see Hannah running her own salon. I can see Murray being the bouncer at his own bar in Mississippi. He's the most protective guy I've ever met."

PDS
Image: CMT

As for BFFs Tiffany and Lauren, Salsano isn't sure on specifics — but she is sure of this much: "Tiffany and Lauren are going to be successful and will figure out a way to work for themselves (they love kids). They are headstrong boss bitches who can be successful in anything they choose to do."

Hear, hear.

Best of luck to Tiffany, Lauren, Murray, Mattie, Lyle, Daddy and Hannah (aka Hott Dogg) on whatever big adventure they choose to tackle next. We know wherever they go, they'll get it goin'.

The Party Down South reunion is the cast's final time together... or is it?

After five wild, funnel-filled seasons, the boozy addition that was Party Down South is officially over, y'all. During a teary finale episode, Tiffany, Lauren, Murray, Mattie, Lyle and Hannah said goodbye to their last vacation.

Or did they?

Here's the thing: SallyAnn Salsano, 495 Productions president, and founder, creator and executive producer of Party Down South, hinted to SheKnows in an exclusive interview that — like the rest of us —she isn't quite ready to see the party end.

More: Lyle Boudreaux's romance woes on Party Down South are far from over

When asked if we would ever see these guys in any capacity on CMT again, Salsano coyly responded, "I never say never. If it were up to me, this party would never stop... ever. Guess the best way to respond to that is by putting a twist on a Daddy quote, 'Keep it goin'!'"

Hell yeah! Ya hear that, CMT?
But, at least for now, it looks like we will be saying goodbye to the gang. Tonight's reunion episode predictably only made fans feel even more feels about the show's demise, thanks to a ton of funny clips, flashbacks and Q&As with the cast.
Among the things we learned: Lyle and Santana did, in fact, give it one more go after the season ended. Spoiler alert: They still went down in flames. Also, despite our innermost hopes and desires, Lyle doesn't want to start anything up with Mattie for fear of ruining their friendship.
So the time has come to send off our twangy friends to begin the next chapter of their lives, and no class of graduates would be complete without some good ol' class superlatives. The cast has voted, those votes have been tallied and the results are in.
Congratulations, PDS, class of 2016! You're gonna do life well; we can tell.

Grey's Anatomy: Wilmer Valderrama as Stephanie's love interest? Yes, please!

$

Confession: I was a big fan of That '70s Show... and despite the fact it ended a decade ago, I have never been able to see Wilder Valderrama as anyone but Fez. Until his cameo on Grey's Anatomy tonight, that is.

Here's the thing about Fez — I loved him. He was hilarious! And an oddly endearing combination of narcissistic, childish and super horny. But I was never attracted to Fez. If I'd known him IRL, he'd definitely have lived in the purgatory that is the friend zone.

More: 8 things to know about Grey's Anatomy's Jerrika Hinton

Since That '70s Show went off the air, Valderrama has scored many, many roles. He has been rumored to have dated some seriously beautiful and funny women in Hollywood, including his That '70s Show costar Mila Kunis (before she was Kutchered) and singer-slash-actress Mandy Moore.

He is currently dating Demi Lovato, who I think is hella cool.

But, still. He's Fez, you guys! I've never been able to see him in any other light. Accordingly, I brushed it off when I first heard he was going to cameo on Grey's Anatomy. Welp, I thought, this should be interesting. Fez in a hospital gown?

So imagine my surprise when Amelia, Penny and Stephanie walk into a hospital room, Valderrama stops playing guitar to speak to them and — wait for it — I absolutely 100 percent found him to be cute. Not just cute, actually. Like, really damn hot.

Grey's Anatomy
Image: ABC

What is with this sudden change of heart? (Or perhaps libido is more accurate?)

I have an aunt who used to love butter. She didn't eat waffles; she ate butter with a side of waffles. She may very well have eaten anything if enough butter was involved. Then, one day out of the blue, she just couldn't eat any more butter. She couldn't even stand the sight of it.

You may be wondering, what in the universe does this have to do with Wilmer Valderrama? Well, I'll tell you. Maybe my tastebuds of attraction (c'mon, just roll with me on this) have changed, like my once-butter-lovin' aunt's did.

More: Wilmer Valderrama talks about life after the '70s

At some point, Valderrama stopped being undesirable to me and started being very desirable, as though someone flipped a switch.

Whatever the case may be, I'm diggin' it. I'd like to see more of this newly hot Valderrama in his capacity on the show as Kyle Diaz — a rock star suffering from MS who is admitted to the hospital to deal with the hand tremors hindering his rock star status.

Which leads me to another reason I dig this character and want his role to morph from cameo to recurring: Dr. Stephanie Edwards.

Grey's Anatomy
Image: ABC

It's no secret I'm a huge fan of Jerrika Hinton, who plays Stephanie. I had the pleasure of interviewing her last fall and legit adored her. During our conversation back then, she hinted Stephanie would potentially find love this season.

"There is a new love interest on the horizon, but for the first few episodes, I feel like the focus is on her," Hinton said. "You're going to understand her more as a person, and I think that's a great metaphor for life as well — you need to understand yourself as a full person before you go jumping back into something else."

More: Is it too soon to see Meredith with another man on Grey's Anatomy?

Check and check, right? Stephanie has definitely come into her own this season so far and we do know her in a way we didn't before. That certainly paves the way for this alluded-to love interest, so odds are good Hinton was talking about Valderrama.

Um, yes, please! Not only do I get to indulge in my recently acquired taste for former-Fez, but that means I get to see more scenes between Valderrama and Hinton like the chemistry-filled ones we saw tonight.

And since Hinton has started working on another pilot (yay!) and could be on borrowed time where Grey's is concerned (boooo!), I'll take any scenes we can steal from this rising star. If that happens to include a few sexy moments with Valderrama strumming a guitar, well, so be it.

Get excited, The West Wing fans! The cast of the iconic show is finally reuniting this summer.

While a The West Wing reunion special might not be making its way to our television screens, yet, the show's cast will reunite at the ATX Television Festival this June.

More: Gilmore Girls revival will also feature an extra special Parenthood reunion

The festival, set to take place from June 9-12, will host a panel featuring cast members, Bradley Whitford, Dule Hill, Joshua Malina, Richard Siff and Janel Moloney, as well as creator Aaron Sorkin and director and executive producer Thomas Schlamme.

The panel will also mark the 10th anniversary of the iconic NBC series' finale. The West Wing ended in 2006 after 156 episodes and seven seasons.

The West Wing isn't the only series staging a reunion at the festival this year. The cast of Ugly Betty, including America Ferrera, Eric Mabius, Becki Newton, Michael Urie, Ashley Jensen, Ana Ortiz, Tony Plana, Mark Indelicato, Vanessa Williams and Rebecca Romijn will also reunite to mark the 10-year anniversary of the ABC series.

Other panels set for this year's ATX TV Festival include reunion panels for Everybody Loves Raymond, The O.C.'s writer's room and State of Grace, as well as panels for Ferrera's new comedy Superstore, Lifetime's unREAL and Younger.

At previous festivals, ATX staged reunions of Roswell, Everwood, Friday Night Lights and Gilmore Girls. The Gilmore Girls reunion in 2015 was basically the first step in the series' Netflix revival. Could The West Wing see the same fate? We can only hope!

Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna just got engaged, but the couple is wasting no time when it comes to walking down the aisle. The pair has reportedly already started planning their wedding.

The first thing on Kardashian's wedding to-do list? Lose weight.

More: The Kardashians are being really unfair about Rob & Blac Chyna's engagement

"Rob is working really hard to reach his goal weight," a source close to the celebs told E! News. "He has been seeing a trainer, nutritionist and working out on his own."

The source went on to say, "Rob hasn't been on any certain diet. The only restrictions he has is what his nutritionist told him to stay away from because of his diabetes. Chyna has been helping him and been pushing him in a supportive way. She also works out with him, so it's a team effort. Rob loves seeing his clothes get big and looking back on the progress he made."

More: Tyga had an impressive reaction to Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna's engagement

The source also dished some inside information on what Chyna has planned for the big day.

"Chyna will have at least two dresses on her wedding, both statement pieces," the source said.

Chyna also reportedly has an idea of who she may want to design her dresses. The insider also shared that she will likely style her hair in a classic 'do, and even though she's known to rock bold-colored hair, she will probably stick to dark tresses for the memorable event. As for her makeup, Chyna will likely use products from her personal line, including the lashes and lip gloss.

"Her makeup will be flawless, and she will be using all her products," the source said.

More: You'll never guess where Rob Kardashian & Blac Chyna celebrated their engagement

As for the actual ceremony, the source said the pair haven't picked a specific location yet, but, "Chyna loves the warm weather, so the ceremony will be outside and somewhere in a warm climate." She reportedly wants a "big wedding with all her friends and family, and then a fun party after the ceremony."

No surprise, the model is seriously considering gal pal Amber Rose as her maid of honor.

Joe Giudice's lack of visitors must mean he's getting super lonely in prison

It's been two weeks since Teresa Giudice last saw her husband, Joe — who is serving time at Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution in New Jersey for conspiracy and bankruptcy fraud charges — and he must be getting pretty lonely.

More: Joe Giudice's prison sentence was already drastically reduced

It's not that Joe's family don't want to see him though. The issue is that Teresa (having served time herself) is still on probation, which makes it that much harder.

"Joe can see visitors on his list this week, but Teresa's paperwork takes longer because she is on probation," a source revealed to Us Weekly. "Teresa will be going to visit Joe the second she can. She's hoping it will be this coming Sunday."

More: 7 ways Joe Giudice's prison sentence will differ from Teresa's

It's not just Joe who is feeling lonely, because according to the source, the family home is very different without him — but Teresa has found many ways to keep herself occupied.

"It's very lonely in the house without Joe there, but since Teresa has just finished filming, she's back in her element and able to take the girls to all their activities," the source told the magazine. "She's back in full-on mom mode."

However, Teresa is not only focused on her daughters' activities but also one of her own: She's become really into yoga and is hoping to get her yoga certification in the near future.

More: Teresa Giudice looks happy and healthy at Melissa Gorga's fashion show

"It is taking much longer because her probation stopped her from attending everything she wanted," the source adds.

Given her current circumstances, Teresa really does seem to be thriving, and as for Joe, there is not much update on how life behind bars is treating him. Although, he did get some good news in week one when his sentence was drastically reduced by five months.

Do you think Teresa and Joe's marriage will be able to withstand his time in prison? Are you surprised Teresa has not been able to visit him yet? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below.

Why 'Magic Milo' needs to return to General Hospital's Nurses Ball

$
0
0

ABC recently announced that the Nurses Ball would be back for its 12th year on General Hospital. It’s always a grand affair in daytime television because the writers unleash big summer storylines during the episodes. It's also been an important part of raising AIDS research awareness since fundraising is the reason the Port Charles residents have all gathered together.

More: Rebecca Herbst's General Hospital future finally announced

While fans' excitement is building and everyone is looking for spoilers, here's what we know so far.

The dates

Normally, the Nurses Ball unfolds over a weekend. This year, the episodes will occur midweek from May 24-26. This might lead to some big cliffhangers leading up to the weekend.

Returning characters

Some familiar faces will be gracing the GH set this year and they are truly welcome returns for the fans. Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) and Dr. Robin Scorpio Drake (Kimberly McCullough) will both be returning to Port Charles, according to Daytime Confidential. McCullough's appearance at the Nurses Ball makes a lot of sense given her longtime ties to the HIV storyline.

The one key person who won't be returning is Robin's husband Dr. Patrick Drake. Jason Thompson was the last actor to portray the role, but he's jumped ship to The Young and the Restless.

More: GH star Kristina Wagner gets frank with Oprah about her divorce

The storylines

In its press release, ABC teased, “A popular character’s life hanging in the balance, a shocking arrest, a new romance, and more!” Those little tidbits sent the Internet into a frenzy looking for clues into the future plot points.

Will “Naxie” split up for good? Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and Nathan (Ryan Paevey) sure aren’t having an easy time right now. Could their entire romance fall apart right before the ball? It would be a convenient time to set Maxie up with Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen).

Everyone is aiming at Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) to be the character arrested, but his mob ties make it a very convenient storyline. ABC’s official statement indicates a “shocking arrest.” Are the writers throwing fans off?

The entertainment

Magic Milo at the Nurses Ball

Magic Milo at the Nurses Ball

Could anyone forget the “Magic Milo” acts? Everyone is hoping for a return of Milo Giambetti (Drew Cheetwood). Not only would it be great for Milo to have a second act at the Nurses Ball, fans might be happy if Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) joined in the act.

More: 10 oddest soap opera cameos

The sponsor

This year’s returning sponsor is Aveeno, so expect quite a few product plugs written into the episode. It’s always interesting to see how the writers add in brand mentions naturally and awkwardly. It isn’t easy to write product placement into a script seamlessly.

What are you looking forward to the most at this year's Nurses Ball?

Farewell American Idol and thanks for all the memories

When I heard a commercial promoting American Idol’s final season, my initial reaction was, “That’s still on?” I am sure I am not the only person who felt that way as it has been a really long time since American Idol was must-see TV for my family.

More: My American Idol obsession has shaped my entire adult life

Yet, hearing that the show was ending brought me back to when it began on June 11, 2002. My mother was the first person to mention that she was really enjoying this new singing show on FOX. I decided to tune in with my daughters, then ages 8 and 5 years old. We were immediately hooked and watched the show all summer long. It was fun to listen to the contestants sing and we waited anxiously all week long to see who would make it to the next round.

It was a show a family of all ages could watch together. On a vacation at the beach with our cousins, we all decided to order dinner in so we wouldn’t miss that week’s episode. My parents enjoyed discussing the show with the kids — it bridged generations in a way so few shows do.

More: 8 reasons Survivor has survived for 16 years

Looking back, I cannot believe we were actually surprised to see Kelly Clarkson take the title of American Idol in the season finale that September. I mean really, was there even a comparison in their voices? Yes, Justin Guarini had great hair and an infectious smile, but this was a singing competition! I remember tearing up listening to Kelly sing, “A Moment Like This” after being crowned the winner. How appropriate were those lyrics! Her life was about to change and the exact moment of this metamorphosis was happening on live television, in front of millions of viewers.

My daughters and I continued to be Idol obsessed throughout that year. We road tripped with other friends to Atlantic City in the fall to see the top 10 contestants perform live in concert. It was an overzealous plan on my part. My younger daughter fell asleep before it started and kept dozing even though I tried several times to wake her for Kelly’s performance. In June 2003, we all went to see the movie, From Justin to Kelly — arguably one of the worst musical movies ever made, but they loved it. (They even watched it a few times when it premiered on OnDemand.)

We welcomed the new contestants into our living room when season two premiered. Our favorites were the Velvet Teddy Bear, Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken. We laughed at some of the contestants’ auditions (William Hung), we cried at some of their incredible journeys and we applauded the ones who made it to Hollywood week. We even took a turn as contestants — in our basement — with the American Idol game for the Wii.

Idol was a springboard for many amazing musical artists. It also made stars out of judge Simon Cowell and host Ryan Seacrest. As it comes to an end, I can't say we will miss American Idol since it exited our lives before it exited its television time slot. But I do miss those early days. Now, my daughters are all grown up, one already in college and one off in the fall. Idol was a big part in helping our family create great memories of being together and listening to music together that we'll carry long after its finale.

It makes a lovely change to see women praising Zolciak instead of attacking her appearance (and she is no stranger to online hate), but more than that, this picture is a beautiful representation of just how comfortable Zolciak is in her skin — and really, why shouldn't she be?

If only there were more representation like this in the media, then women, especially teens, wouldn't feel the need to wear makeup constantly and could embrace their own natural imperfections. That's not to say there is anything wrong with wearing makeup, or that women should be shamed for doing so. Of course, we shouldn't, but it makes for a nice change.

American Crime Story really put Cuba Gooding Jr. in a dark place

American Crime Story sounds like it was a little bit of a nightmare for Cuba Gooding Jr.

More: Why I probably would have voted "not guilty" in the O.J. Simpson trial

Gooding, who played one of the starring roles — O.J. Simpson himself — opened up during an interview at the 5th Annual Reel Stories, Real Lives benefit for the Motion Picture and Television Fund in Los Angeles on Thursday, which also happened to be just two days after the finale of American Crime Story aired. At the event, Gooding explained how the role impacted his life, and why he's kind of over it now.

"Relieved," he told reporters about how he feels now that the show has finally wrapped up. "[I'm] working on the fact that I'm trying to just process that mentality from my frame of mind."

He continued, "I was in a dark place with it," and explained that the way people reacted to his decision to play Simpson, a famous football player accused of murdering his wife, was "overwhelming," including responses he got from people he didn't even know, "famous or not."

More: O.J. Simpson's creepy obsession with Kim Kardashian

"I went to church one Sunday, and the pastor asked for [me] to stay after the service. Him and his wife prayed over me because he felt there was a darkness in my spirit," Gooding shared. "It was things like that where I'm like, 'Man, this show is really affecting people.'"

But despite the difficulties of the role, Gooding looks back on what he calls "a fun ride" with some fond memories. And as for how he hopes Simpson himself would respond to the docuseries?

"I would hope he would find some identification of some truth as he knew it back then and that he would eventually find redemption and healing," Gooding said. "And I'm not saying that he's guilty or innocent, but I hope that, you know, anybody who watches this finds a better understanding."

According to her husband, Tyler Baltierra, Lowell was reluctant to get out of bed, sleeping more and sending their 1-year-old daughter Nova to stay with her mom for days on end. Lowell's therapist believed postpartum depression was to blame for Lowell's struggles, and she eventually accepted the diagnosis and sought treatment.

So far, Lowell has been very open with fans about her struggles, leading many to speculate that her time in rehab will be documented on the next season of Teen Mom OG.

Paul Walker's daughter wins much-deserved lawsuit but it doesn't fix anything

Meadow Walker is still fighting for justice after her father's tragic death.

More: Michelle Rodriguez says she's jealous of Paul Walker's death... what?

It's been nearly three years since The Fast and the Furious actor Paul Walker was killed in a car crash alongside Roger Rodas, and just recently, Meadow was able to settle a lawsuit with Rodas' estate, which awarded her $10.1 million for the loss of her father, $7.2 million of which she will receive after expenses and legal fees.

Through her lawyer, Jeffrey Milam, Meadow released a statement about the settlement.

"The amount paid by the estate of Roger Rodas into a trust for Meadow Walker only covers a fraction of what her father would have earned as an international movie star had his life not tragically been cut short," the statement read. "Through his estate, Mr. Rodas, the driver of the car, took partial responsibility for the crash. Meadow's lawsuit against Porsche AG — a $13 billion corporation — intends to hold the company responsibly for producing a vehicle that was defective and caused Paul Walker's death."

More: Paul Walker's daughter shares heartbreaking Father's Day pic of her dad (PHOTO)

Milam filed papers in November 2014 that placed blame, at least partially, on Rodas for the crash that killed Paul Walker. His filing states that Rodas was "not directing the car through any particularly unsafe maneuvers when it went out of control," but he was "nevertheless… responsible, in part, for the accident."

Meadow still has a pending lawsuit against Porsche AG, even though earlier this week, a judge dismissed four claims made by Rodas' widow against the company.

"The issues in the cases are very different. The federal case was filed on behalf of Roger Rodas, who was the driver of the Porsche Carrera GT and was killed instantly upon impact," Milam claimed. "Meadow's father, Paul Walker, was a passenger in the car. He survived the crash but was trapped and burned to death because of the vehicle's defects."

11 TV shows that will give you insane wanderlust

$

Lots of trendy terms we use these days have a specific connotation. We know how to "Netflix and chill," how to look "on fleek" and even what to call our loved one — I believe bae is what the kids are calling it these days. In that vein, we know binge-watching to mean splaying out on our comfiest furniture, where few brain cells are used but much gratification is served — and this definitely serves a purpose. However, some TV shows are shot in such beautiful or noteworthy locations they can turn that chill factor way down and prompt some major wanderlust. Here are 11 shows that might elicit a jump off the couch — or even across the globe.

More: 11 sitcoms and dramedies you can't stop binge-watching

1. The Affair (The Hamptons)

With stops at the Lobster Roll and locations so vivid you can sometimes smell the water, The Affair stirs up lots of emotions. Included in that is some major wanderlust for the Hamptons, which in addition to providing a gorgeous backdrop, also provides a perfect setting for this now four-sided story. While later episodes are back in New York City, the bulk of the show resurfaces the desire to return to the Hamptons.

Watch The Affair on HBO

2. Ballers (Miami)

In the popular new HBO series, Dwayne Johnson, also known as The Rock, plays retired NFL player Spencer Strasmore. Trying to succeed in sports management, he glides through the ins and outs of Miami, including stops at the Biltmore and Star Island. Johnson finds his acting forte in a fast-talking role that shines a spotlight on a fast-paced, trendy city.

Watch Ballers on HBO

3. Outlander (Scotland)

The gorgeous Scottish countryside is prominently featured on this sci-fi show, starring a woman who travels back in time from to the 18th century. Outlander then follows along as she tries to make her way back to the 1940s. The series, which has developed a cult following, is so popular for its local setting you can even visit it as a Scotland attraction.

Watch Outlander on Starz

4. Portlandia (Portland, Oregon)

How could you not want to visit Portland after watching this quirky, often hilarious show? Seemingly inspired by creators/stars Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein's love for the city, it translates not just across the screen but into our brains, with vignettes everywhere from bookstores to coffee shops. Watching a few episodes is enough to make you put a trip to Portland on your to-do list.

Watch Portandia on IFC

5. Top of the Lake (New Zealand)

Filmed in Queenstown (a popular New Zealand town that sees millions of tourists each year), Top of the Lake is a dark, brooding series whose location, like many of the aforementioned shows, also functions as a character. The crime story — the disappearance of a pregnant 12-year-old girl — is the main focus, but the spectacular setting on the country's South Island provides some deeply felt moments.

6. Grantchester (Cambridge, England)

While lesser known in the U.S., this television show, set in the 1950s, is quite popular across the pond, perhaps owing in part to its authenticity. Now heading into its third season and based on a collection of short mysteries, Grantchester features a local sleuth who solves crimes with a sidekick detective. Filmed and set in the real village of Granchester, outside Cambridge, the series features not just the renowned universities but a picturesque countryside. Catch up on old seasons to work your wanderlust and get ready for the new one.

7. The Killing (Copenhagen)

You may be more familiar with the intense American version that aired on AMC, but the dark, twisty show actually originated in Denmark. The Killing, set in Copenhagen and focused on protagonist Detective Sarah Lund, also brought attention to the beauty of Denmark, which many in the States might not have otherwise known about. More evidence of the gorgeously shot landscape: Since the show's inception, there has been a documented increase in tourists to the area.

Watch The Killing on BBC

8. Broad City (New York)

Even for the most cynical of natives and locals, Broad City can stir up some sentiment for their beloved Big Apple, but watching scenes of the city as creator/stars Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobsen get into trouble will make anyone want to make the trip ASAP. Each shot, clip or sketch is eclipsed by the perfect urban backdrop, whether they're cruising the streets or making fun of trendy brunches and lattes. Starting with the first season and now in the midst of the third, the spotlight continues to shine lovingly on NYC, second only to the girls themselves.

Watch Broad City on Comedy Central

9. Anne of Green Gables (Prince Edward Island)

What ’80s female doesn't remember loving Anne of Green Gables? The feisty titular redhead was beloved by girls everywhere, and the series still has a special following. The show, shot in various parts of Canada, including Prince Edward Island, illustrated the lush, gorgeous countryside and and often unseen part of the landscape. Who wouldn't love to watch one of their favorite childhood shows, especially when it looks that beautiful?

10. Bachelor in Paradise (tropical locations)

Although the simple inclusion of this one might make some eyes roll, there's no denying that even one episode of The Bachelor can evoke some serious yearning. Regardless of the subject matter or the contestants, the gorgeous beach settings and larger-than-life date spots will have anyone desperate to escape their couch and head for the islands, any islands. There may only be one winner at the end of this show, but we can all buy a ticket and hop a plane to paradise if we choose — private Jet not included.

11. Northern Exposure (Alaska)

The unusually quirky and addictively appealing show from the ’90s was ahead of its time in a lot of ways. It follows Joel Fleischman, a New York doctor who must pay off med school by practicing in rural Alaska — and he comes to fall in love with both the town and the people. Set in the fictional Cicely and shot in Washington state, this series appears to be predictable: a typical fish out of water with short-term success. But the stunning scenery and offbeat likability of the characters (including a pre–Sex and the City John Corbett) resonated with viewers and allowed the show to last for several seasons. Now it can find a whole new viewership and maybe even inspire some newfound love for Alaska.

The first look for Lucasfilm's latest masterpiece came out on Thursday and quickly racked up more than 5 million views before the end of the day. Don't take the YouTube hits for happy excitement, however. The comments section quickly turned into a hateful war between fans bashing and defending the movie's lead, Felicity Jones.

If you ask us, the movie looks pretty badass. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is scheduled to hit theaters December 2016.

After months of not knowing if Glenn was alive or dead and a completely ridiculous cliffhanger finale that didn't reveal which core character was killed by Negan, super pissed-off The Walking Dead viewers had had enough and decided to take matters into their own hands by demanding that AMC tell them who got bludgeoned to death.

"I would like AMC to show us who Negan killed in the Season 6 finale of The Walking Dead," a petition on change.org reads. "We want this either in an interim episode that borders Season 6 and 7, or a short R-rated webisode that shows us the death in all it's [sic] bloody glory. Either of these are fine as long as it's released before May 30th."

The petition had 6,864 supporters by Thursday.

Apparently, the students were using a real razor covered in duct tape and silver paper as a prop, according to the BBC. Both boys are in stable condition and the incident is being investigated as an accident.

If you aren't acquainted with The Slow Mo Guys, you really should be. Not only are they hilarious with some downright delightful accents, but they turn out some seriously sweet experiments with their super high-tech slow-motion camera.

This week, their video blew up with a quickness when the guys showed us what a 50-foot flamethrower can do in slow motion. "Gav and Dan discover that often, some of the most beautiful things in life are the same things that will take your face right off," the description of the YouTube video reads.

Back in February, Melissa McCarthy said she wouldn't be part of the Gilmore Girls revival because she wasn't asked to return. Well, forget about all of that drama and who may or may not have asked who, because it's happening, people. McCarthy is reprising her role as Sookie St. James!

It's such a relief to know that Sookie will be part of the Netflix revival. So far, it's unclear how many episodes she'll appear in (probably only one) or if she'll share a scene with Lorelai (fingers crossed), but let's not worry about that right now. It's important to focus on the fact that Sookie will be back.

I'm sure my fellow GG fans haven't stopped rejoicing since hearing the news. You know who else is beyond thrilled? Lauren Graham. She took to Twitter Thursday to express her excitement about her on-screen BFF's return. Check it out.

Aside from her professional similarity to DiCaprio's previous girlfriends, what else do we know about Weimar?

2. She's allegedly been spending time at DiCaprio's house. Fans believe her most recent Instagram photos were taken from his place.

The Originals' Klaus is much more than Klaroline and the ladies in his life

I think that by this point, you guys know I'm a total Klaroline shipper.

More: The Originals' boss reveals Elijah & Hayley's fate after [SPOILER]'s death

That crossover phone call between the two of them on The Vampire Diaries gave me so many feels!

But I also don't blame Joseph Morgan if he's a little tired of all the Klaroline questions. After all, the dude recently directed his first episode of The Originals. And through all the questions about his fabulous directorial debut, I, admittedly, still just want the dirt on if Klaus will ever settle down.

Of course, Morgan was more than happy to chat about it. But he had a unique take on Klaus' relationships during his new interview with TV Line.

"I suppose everybody has a slightly different take on it, from the fans to the writers to the actors," Morgan explained. "But my take on it is this: There’s not one woman that Klaus is like, 'That’s who I love! It’s definitely her above everyone else!'"

More: The Vampire Diaries boss stuns fans with unexpected Klaroline remark

I'm definitely thinking about that The Vampire Diaries episode here where Klaus told Caroline that she's his end game. But it's also fair for Morgan to say that Klaus just isn't there yet.

I tend to agree. He's not (which is why the tension is so fabulous, let's be real!).

"He’s a tortured soul, and that’s why he doesn’t have a relationship that works with any of them," Morgan added. "If you really think about it, we haven’t seen him have a single relationship that lasts in the whole course of him being on both [The Originals and The Vampire Diaries]. I think that speaks volumes."

Morgan is absolutely spot-on here. I think it's fair to ask fans to be a little more open-minded to the turns Klaus' future may take.

More: 16 The Vampire Diaries Klaroline moments that are swoon-worthy

I know I'm all about seeing a Caroline/Klaus reunion. But it's important to check myself every once in a while and realize that Klaus is much more complex a character than simply his love life. He is raising his daughter, protecting his family and navigating the politics of New Orleans. In the scope of all that, no wonder his love life takes a backseat.

It won't be long until Rumer is the most famous Willis in the family. She's already won Dancing with the Stars, and now Willis is showing off her beautiful singing voice. She's in New York City performing at Café Carlyle this weekend with a backup band. The set is getting rave reviews from critics and audience members alike. Stephen Holden calls her a natural nightclub singer.

World's most unlikely pals Nicolas Cage & Vince Neil brawl in Vegas

$

Las Vegas party animals were treated to an extra-special show last night: random bros Nicolas Cage and Vince Neil brawling outside a casino.

Two-time Academy Award nominee Cage, who lives in Vegas, and Mötley Crüe lead singer Neil are apparently BFFs — that's odd situation No. 1. They were partying at the Aria together, which is odd situation No. 2, because we definitely would have done a double-take if we saw this celebrity odd couple at the slot machines.

More: Nicolas Cage explains why he still feels like an outsider

Odd situation No. 3: Cage and Neil got into a huge brawl outside Aria, and bystander cameras were there to video the whole thing.

Nicolas Cage and Vince Neil fighting

Nicolas Cage and Vince Neil fighting

The pair look very, very inebriated, and there's a lot of bear hugs and headlock attempts and holding onto each other for dear life. Cage can be heard screaming, “Stop this shit now!” at Neil, then, while putting him in a headlock, changing tactics and saying, “You're OK. I love you.”

More: Charlie Sheen was reportedly looking for a hit man to take his ex out

So, what happened to cause trouble in this magical friendship? Something not so funny. According to TMZ, a woman approached Cage for an autograph, and Neil grabbed her by the hair and threw her to the floor. Neil is now the subject of a criminal investigation and was cited at the scene but not arrested for battery.

This is hardly Neil's first brush with the law. He was charged with vehicular manslaughter after a 1984 car accident that killed one passenger and left another with brain damage. In 2002, he was arrested for punching record producer Michael Schuman, and he was arrested again in 2003 amid accusations that he assaulted an escort at the Moonlite BunnyRanch. In 2004, an arrest warrant was issued after Neil left a sound man unconscious for 45 minutes, and he was arrested on suspicion of DUI in 2007 and 2010. Most recently, in 2011, Neil was charged with battery and disorderly conduct after a fight with ex-girlfriend Alicia Jacobs.

So, the Aria incident seems like it is hardly out of character for Neil. Luckily, his bro Cage was there to make sure things didn't go from bad to worse.
